Delivered the workshop “Bayesian Models of Social Transmission” — a 30-minute lecture and 60-minute hands-on coding tutorial simulating transmission on networks and inferring parameter values using STbayes.
Delivered the workshop “Quantifying Social Transmission in Collectives” — a 90-minute lecture and 60-minute hands-on coding tutorial simulating transmission on networks and inferring parameter values using STbayes.
Co-organized and delivered a short lecture at a two-day deep reinforcement learning workshop for 16 participants spanning CASCB, Biology, Physics and Psychology. Day one covered key concepts and algorithms — states, actions, policies, value functions and value-estimation methods — with hands-on coding tasks in Google Colab. Day two covered Q-learning and Deep Q-learning, with experiments on Chase and Escape agents as an introduction to multi-agent predator–prey settings. Participants closed by brainstorming applications of reinforcement learning to their own research.
Delivered a short introductory course on programming with Python.

Delivered the lecture “The Evolution of Social Learning” — an introduction to social learning mechanisms, Rogers’ paradox and its solutions, and contemporary examples of social learning research in non-human animals.
Delivered the lecture “Automated data collection” and co-supervised groups of MSc students on three-week research projects on wild great tit cognition.
